Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Commerce, or related discipline.
• MBA / PG Diploma in Supply Chain Management will be preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in warehouse operations.
• Mandatory experience in E-commerce and Quick Commerce warehouse operations.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, returns and inventory control.
• Ensure timely processing of customer orders with defined turnaround times and SLAs.
• Monitor productivity and implement initiatives to improve efficiency.
• Maintain optimum space utilization and warehouse layout.
• Supervise staff, shifts and manpower planning.
• Oversee E-commerce & Quick Commerce operations on marketplaces like Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, JioMart, etc.
• Coordinate with marketplace managers and logistics partners; resolve issues.
• Manage returns, cancellations and reverse logistics; monitor marketplace performance metrics.
• Ensure 100% inventory accuracy via cycle counts and physical verification.
• Lead and develop warehouse team; drive training and performance reviews.
• Ensure SOPs, safety standards, and regulatory compliance; drive Lean and 5S.

Role

The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day warehouse operations, ensuring efficient inventory management, order fulfillment, dispatch, and logistics coordination. The role requires hands-on experience in E-commerce and Quick Commerce operations, with a strong focus on meeting service level agreements (SLAs), maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing warehouse productivity, and driving continuous process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations

• Manage end-to-end warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, returns, and inventory control.
• Ensure timely processing of customer orders while adhering to defined turnaround times (TATs) and SLAs.
• Monitor warehouse productivity and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure optimum space utilization and proper warehouse layout management.
• Supervise warehouse staff, shift operations, and manpower planning.

2. E-commerce & Quick Commerce Operations (Mandatory)

• Manage order fulfillment for leading E-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart, Meesho, JioMart, etc.
• Handle Quick Commerce operations through platforms such as Blinkit, Zepto, Swiggy Instamart, BigBasket Now, Flipkart Minutes, and similar channels.
• Ensure adherence to platform-specific SLAs, OTIF (On Time In Full), fill rates, and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with marketplace account managers and logistics partners to resolve operational issues.
• Manage returns, cancellations, reverse logistics, and customer claims efficiently.
• Monitor marketplace performance metrics and recommend process improvements.

3. Inventory Management

• Ensure 100% inventory accuracy through cycle counts and periodic physical stock verification.
• Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor stock ageing, slow-moving inventory, and stock replenishment.
• Ensure FIFO/FEFO compliance wherever applicable.

4. Team Management

• Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse associates and supervisors.
• Allocate work effectively to maximize productivity.
• Conduct performance reviews and identify training needs.
• Promote a culture of discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement.

5. Process & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with SOPs, warehouse safety standards, and statutory requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation for inventory movements and dispatches.
• Drive 5S, Lean, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and audit requirements.

6. Logistics Coordination

• Coordinate with transporters, courier partners, and internal stakeholders for timely dispatches.
• Track shipment performance and resolve delivery-related issues.
• Monitor freight costs and identify cost optimization opportunities.

7. Reporting & MIS

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly warehouse performance reports.
• Track KPIs such as:
• Order Fulfillment Rate
• Inventory Accuracy
• OTIF
• Picking & Packing Productivity
• Dispatch TAT
• Return Rate
• Warehouse Utilization
• Cost per Order
• Present operational insights and improvement plans to management.

• Prior experience in FMCG, Consumer Goods, Healthcare, Retail, or E-commerce organizations will be preferred.
