Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end inbound and outbound warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch and order fulfillment.
• Ensure smooth and timely fulfillment of orders across GT and D2C channels.
• Optimize warehouse space utilization, storage practices and material movement.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and operational processes; monitor productivity for improvement opportunities.
• Manage fleet and transportation operations for timely, cost-effective deliveries.
• Plan and optimize delivery routes based on shipment volumes and destinations.
• Coordinate with transporters and logistics partners; negotiate with vendors.
• Track On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance and address transportation issues.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to manage end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations, ensuring efficient inbound and outbound movement, inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, transportation management, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

The role will be responsible for managing warehouse operations across GT (General Trade) and D2C channels , driving operational efficiency, optimizing costs, and ensuring timely order fulfillment and delivery.

Key Responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations

Manage end-to-end inbound and outbound warehouse operations , including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and order fulfillment.

Ensure smooth and timely fulfillment of orders across GT and D2C channels .

Optimize warehouse space utilization, storage practices, and material movement.

Ensure adherence to defined SOPs and operational processes.

Monitor warehouse productivity and identify opportunities for process improvement.

2. Logistics & Transportation

Manage fleet and transportation operations to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries.

Plan and optimize delivery routes based on shipment volumes and destinations.

Coordinate with transporters and logistics partners for daily operations.

Negotiate with transport vendors and monitor transportation costs.

Track and improve On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance.

Resolve transportation-related issues and delivery exceptions.

3. Inventory Management

Monitor inventory levels and ensure optimum stock availability.

Raise daily indents in DDMRP as per inventory requirements.

Ensure accurate inventory records and minimize stock discrepancies.

Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory checks .

Investigate inventory variances and implement corrective actions.

Drive inventory accuracy and ensure proper stock rotation and storage.

Lead, supervise, and manage warehouse and logistics teams.

Allocate manpower and prepare daily/shift-wise work schedules.

Train team members on warehouse processes, SOPs, safety, and systems.

Set productivity targets and monitor individual/team performance.

Build a culture of accountability, discipline, and continuous improvement.

5. Safety & Compliance

Ensure strict adherence to workplace safety standards and warehouse safety procedures.

Conduct regular safety checks and ensure corrective actions are implemented.

Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and legal requirements.

Maintain proper documentation, records, and audit readiness.

Promote safe material handling and housekeeping practices within the warehouse.

6. Systems, MIS & Reporting

Monitor and report key warehouse and logistics KPIs .

Ensure effective utilization of systems such as Uniware, SAP, TMS, BI , and other relevant warehouse/logistics tools.

Prepare and review daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.

Track metrics such as Order Fulfillment, Inventory Accuracy, On-Time Dispatch, On-Time Delivery, Warehouse Productivity, Transportation Cost, Space Utilization, Order Processing TAT, and Inventory Variance.

Use data and analytics to identify operational gaps and drive continuous improvement.

Strong knowledge of warehouse and logistics operations

Qualification & Experience

Graduate/Postgraduate in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations, Business Administration , or a related field.

4–8 years of relevant experience in warehouse, logistics, distribution, or supply chain operations.

Prior experience managing warehouse teams and logistics operations will be preferred.

Experience in D2C/e-commerce and General Trade distribution will be an added advantage.
