Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end warehouse operations including inbound, storage, picking, packing and dispatch.

• Lead, supervise and develop warehouse staff; allocate manpower based on workload.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvement to reduce costs and improve service.
• Coordinate with procurement, planning, sales, logistics, and finance teams.
• Prepare MIS and management reports and present performance dashboards.

Job description

Job Purpose:

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the overall management of warehouse operations, ensuring safe, accurate, and timely receipt, storage, inventory management, order processing, and dispatch of goods. The role focuses on maximizing operational efficiency, maintaining inventory accuracy, achieving productivity targets, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and leading the warehouse team to meet business objectives.

Role & responsibilities

1. Warehouse Operations

• Manage end-to-end warehouse operations, including inbound, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and dispatch.


• Ensure smooth day-to-day warehouse activities with minimal operational disruptions.


• Monitor productivity and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.


• Ensure all customer orders are dispatched accurately and within agreed timelines.

2. Inventory Management

• Maintain high inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and stock audits.


• Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies promptly.


• Monitor damaged, expired, and non-moving inventory.


• Ensure proper storage practices following FIFO/FEFO wherever applicable.

3. Team Management

• Lead, supervise, and motivate warehouse supervisors, executives, and operators.


• Allocate manpower effectively based on daily workload.


• Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews.


• Identify training needs and develop team capabilities.

4. Productivity & Performance

• Monitor key warehouse KPIs such as:




• Inventory Accuracy


• Order Fulfilment Rate


• Picking Accuracy


• Dispatch Timeliness


• Dock-to-Stock Time


• Labour Productivity




• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce operational costs and improve service levels.

5. Coordination

• Coordinate with Procurement, Planning, Sales, Customer Service, Transport, HR, Admin, and Finance teams.


• Ensure timely resolution of operational issues.


• Work closely with logistics partners for smooth vehicle planning and dispatch execution.

6. Reporting

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.


• Present warehouse performance reports and operational dashboards to management.


• Analyse operational data and recommend corrective actions.

Preferred candidate profile

Experience

• 8-10 years of experience in warehouse operations.


• Experience in e-commerce, FMCG, retail, or third-party logistics (3PL) warehouses is preferred.
