Skillventory in India seeks an Equipment Engineer to oversee maintenance during the assigned shift, ensuring equipment stability and safe operations. You will coordinate PM and CM activities with Production, plan manpower, supervise the maintenance team, monitor downtime and report progress, and drive continuous improvement including Kaizen initiatives.
Strong knowledge of SAP is required. The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, root-cause analysis, and compliance with EHS standards, 5S, and
4+ years of experience as an Equipment Engineer / Maintenance Engineer, preferably in manufacturing.
Engineering degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience in equipment troubleshooting and maintenance operations.
Experience in Preventive Maintenance (PM), Corrective Maintenance (CM), breakdown analysis and root-cause analysis.
Strong manpower planning, shift handling and team supervision skills.
Hands-on experience with SAP for maintenance work orders and notifications.
Good knowledge of PLCs, PCs, Robotics and equipment control systems would be advantageous.
Knowledge of Electropneumatic and Vacuum systems would be an added advantage.
Exposure to automation manufacturing processes and plant start-up experience preferred.
Experience in Solar / Semiconductor manufacturing would be advantageous.
Exposure to Lean Maintenance System development and Kaizen initiatives preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good communication, presentation, interpersonal and team-building skills.
Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Email and basic computer applications.
Strong focus on safety, quality, equipment reliability and continuous improvement.
Self-motivated, hands-on and proactive approach with the ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to work in shifts, off-shifts and extended hours as required.
