Role & responsibilities :
The Team Member/Shift Supervisor is responsible for equipment stability and all Maintenance activities during assigned shifts. Ensures smooth production and maintenance processes by coordinating resources, Planning and execution of PM/CM and manpower for PM & shift handling, & implementing improvements as necessary at the RIL PV Manufacturing unit for the assigned module manufacturing line during that particular shift. This role includes supervising a team of assistant shift supervisors and executive to ensure products meet customer requirements and department goals, all while maintaining safety and quality standards. The Shift Supervisor allocates manpower resources, develops work schedules, and prioritizes tasks to meet production deadlines and cycle times.
Preferred candidate profile
- Ensure & Follow all safety procedures in work areas in respective shift.
- Co-ordinate with production team for PM planning and CM activity.
- Initiate & Implement Continuous improvement activities.
- Co-ordinate with Respective assistant shift supervisor and FTE for below on daily basis
1. Shift wise Maintenance report
2. Identifying the hindrances which is causing production loss/ High Rejection due to equipment.
3. Attendance report on shift basis
4. Timely pass down meetings
- Ensure 5S standards are practiced on the shop floor and create Safe, clean and organized work area throughout the unit.
- Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to ensure clarity and consistency in operations.
- Co-ordinate with off roll supervisor for attendance and leave plan of off roll executives.
- Shift Manpower Planning: Plan and allocate manpower effectively across shift to meet production and maintenance requirements.
- Utilize SAP to record all shift activities accurately and ensure timely closure of work orders and Notification entries.
- Training of Subordinates to enhance their skills and ensure adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Shift Critical Breakdown Analysis & Implementation of Improvement Actions:
- Analyse critical breakdowns and downtime incidents to identify root causes and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Spare Requirement and Planning (Shift and Machine Wise).
- Assess spare parts requirements for machines and equipment on the shift and develop a strategic plan for inventory management.
- PM/AM Planning and Completion of Supporting Documents.
- Complete All Documents Related to ISO Audit:
- Ensure compliance with Integrated Management System (IMS) standards by maintaining and updating all related documentation.
Kaizen and Improvement Identification: Continuously identify opportunities for improvement through Kaizen initiatives and implement sustainable improvements in processes and systems.
Education, Qualification & Experience :
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics or above in Engineering in a recognized University. Good honours degree preferred.
- 4+ years working experience as an Equipment Engineer preferred
- Demonstrated leadership skill, good presentation, team-building and communications
- Must be highly energetic and have the drive to get things done ahead of plan.
- Skills and abilities to perform job include: analytical communication, presentation skills, project management, problem solving and troubleshooting skills, computer literacy, interpersonal skills, exercises mature judgment; ability to work in a team, as well as, independently; ability to influence other people
- Willingness to travel / work off shift and long hours
- High fluency in both spoken and written English
- Working experience in Solar or Semiconductors manufacturing industry is advantageous
- Hands-on experience with plant start-up & Lean Maintenance System development will be advantageous
- Possess hands-on experience / strong capability in equipment troubleshooting, engineering methods for equipment controls involving PLCs, PCs, and Robotics will be advantageous.
Knowledge of Electropneumatic / Vacuum system would be advantageous
