Job summary

K K Construction is seeking a Store Keeper to manage daily store operations at the building construction site. You will receive, inspect, and record materials and maintain stock records for tiles, sanitary ware, electrical items, and other finishing materials.

Role requires coordinating with site engineers, purchase teams, vendors, and accounts, ensuring documentation, stock audits, and accurate material handling using Tally Prime and MS Excel.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel is mandatory.
• Experience in inventory management at a construction site is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain daily store operations at the building construction site.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming construction materials and finishing items.
• Maintain proper stock records for materials such as tiles, sanitary ware, electrical items, plumbing fittings, paints, hardware, doors, windows, and other finishing materials.
• Record material receipts, issues, purchases, and stock transfers in Tally Prime.
• Maintain inventory reports, stock registers, and material consumption records using MS Excel.
• Issue materials to site engineers, contractors, and workers as per approved requirements.
• Monitor stock levels and inform the purchase department about material shortages.
• Verify physical stock with system records and conduct regular stock audits.
• Check material quality, quantity, and damage at the time of delivery.
• Maintain proper storage, labeling, and organization of construction materials.
• Coordinate with site engineers, purchase teams, vendors, and accounts departments.
• Ensure proper documentation of delivery challans, invoices, material requisitions, and other store-related documents.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience as a Store Keeper in a building construction company is preferred.
• Working knowledge of Tally Prime and MS Excel is mandatory.
• Knowledge of construction materials, especially finishing items, is essential.
• Good understanding of inventory management, stock reconciliation, and material documentation.
• Honest, organized, responsible, and able to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to coordinate with site teams and manage daily store activities efficiently.

Experience

• Preferred: 5–15 years in construction material store management.
• Candidates with relevant experience in finishing materials will be given preference.
