Job summary

Ciel HR is seeking a Production Engineer Press Shop to oversee day-to-day production activities in the press shop, drive output, quality, and safety, and coordinate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room and PPC.

You will operate and monitor power/mechanical/hydraulic presses, ensure proper setup and die changeover, track OEE, downtime, rework and rejection, maintain records and MIS, and implement 5S, Kaizen and Lean initiatives to continuously improve processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily production activities in the Press Shop to achieve production and quality targets.
• Operate and monitor power presses / mechanical presses / hydraulic presses and related equipment.
• Ensure proper setup, tooling, die changeover and process parameters.
• Monitor production output, rejection, rework and downtime.
• Identify and resolve production-related issues to minimize machine downtime.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room and PPC teams for smooth production.
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, work instructions and process standards.
• Maintain production records, shift reports and MIS.
• Monitor OEE, productivity, rejection and cycle time and take corrective actions.
• Ensure proper handling and availability of raw materials, dies, tools and consumables.
• Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and safe operating practices within the press shop.
• Support new product development, process improvement and trial activities.
