Job summary

Independent Recruitment Consultant (freelancer) seeks an experienced education counsellor to guide students and families toward European universities and programs. You will assess profiles, advise on admissions, tuition, scholarships, and living costs, and manage the complete journey from counselling to visa processing.

You will conduct mock visa interviews, follow up with leads via calls, WhatsApp, email, and meetings, and maintain accurate CRM records while targeting enrolments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in any field.
• 38 years of overseas education counselling experience.
• Extensive knowledge of study-abroad destinations in Europe (Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, Denmark).
• Strong understanding of admissions, courses, eligibility, tuition, scholarships, intakes, visa processes.

Role & responsibilities

• Counsel students and parents on higher education opportunities across European countries.
• Assess student profiles and recommend suitable countries, universities, courses, and programs.
• Provide guidance on admissions, eligibility, tuition fees, scholarships, intakes, and living expenses.
• Manage the complete student journey from counselling and applications to admission and visa processing.
• Assist with SOPs, LORs, CVs, academic and financial documents, and application requirements.
• Guide students on visa documentation, financial requirements, accommodation, insurance, and interview preparation.
• Conduct mock visa interviews and support students throughout the visa process.
• Follow up with leads through calls, WhatsApp, email, and meetings to achieve enrolment targets.
• Coordinate with universities and international admission teams regarding applications and student queries.
• Mentor junior counsellors and support team performance and monthly targets.
• Maintain accurate CRM/Google Sheets records and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
• Stay updated on European education systems, university requirements, and visa/immigration policies.
• Support university partnerships, recruitment events, webinars, and business development activities.
• Experience in cold calling and converting prospects into qualified leads.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors/Masters degree in any relevant field.
• 38 years of experience in overseas education counselling, preferably with strong European destination knowledge.
• In-depth knowledge of study-abroad destinations such as Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Netherlands, Ireland, Sweden, Finland, and Denmark.
• Strong understanding of university admissions, courses, eligibility criteria, tuition fees, scholarships, intakes, and visa processes.
• Proven experience in student counselling and converting leads into successful admissions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Strong experience in cold calling and generating qualified leads through effective communication.
