Qualifications

• Must have extensive CATIA V5/V6 experience, CATIA V6 preferred.
• Experience in interior cabin trims like pillar trims or scuff plates is essential.
• Experience delivering CAD data and drawings for automotive interiors.
• Ability to check interfaces and ensure manufacturing feasibility.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD geometry and drawings for Interior-Cabin system.
• Lead design progression to meet program milestones and cadence.
• Design Pillar Trims (A/B/C pillars, upper/lower) and Scuff Plates as required.
• Keep CAD data up-to-date reflecting maturity levels.
• Escalate unresolved issues to Team Lead and ensure timely deliverables.

Interior Cabin Trims

Experience: 5 to 17 yrs

Scope of Role

The Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5/V6 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for projects of Interior Interior-Cabin Trims.

Area of Responsibility:

• This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various Interior-Cabin system.
• Responsible for the design and development of
• Pillar Trims: APillar, BPillar (Upper/Lower), CPillar (Upper/Lower), Scuff Plates. etc
• Ensure CAD data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
• Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence
• Ability to check and manage Interfaces and clearance to interface parts.
• Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
• Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Team Lead.
• Ensuring that the all-project deliverables are met on time.

Essential:

• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6. Catia V6 is most preferred.
• Good all round design skills which must include experience of working on at least one of Pillar trims or scuff plates project.
• Experience in Soft trims will be an added advantage.
• Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
• Team Centre Engineering (TCE) / Enovia experience
• Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.

Skills:
