Evoke HR is hiring experienced Automotive Interiors NPD/CAD Engineers for our Chennai location. The role requires 6–10 years of hands-on CATIA V5, 3DX, and Teamcenter experience to drive interior trim design from concept to release.

Candidates should be adept at GD&T, cost-focused design, and cross-functional collaboration, with a strong background in packaging studies and master section creation. Immediate joiners encouraged.

Role & responsibilities

We are hiring experienced Automotive Interiors NPD/CAD Engineers with strong expertise in CATIA V5, 3DX, and Teamcenter.

Location: Chennai

Experience: 6- 10 Years

CTC: As Per Right Candidature.

Domain: Automotive Interior Trim / Product Development

Domain knowledge

• Hands on experience in Catia V5 (Part/surface/drawing).
• Sound knowledge in packaging study and master section creation.
• Design and development of Interior Trims from concept to final design as per the design requirements within the timeline.
• Participating in design review meetings and provide solutions.
• Knowledge in benchmarking and cost reduction.
• Identification and resolution of design related issues during development till release.
• Knowledge of prototyping, manufacturing, and assembly processes of Interiors.
• Design product to cost targets.
• Knowledge in Team Center and Vismockup.
• Demonstrate good customer and cross functional relationships.
• Problem solving skills (8D / 6-sigma)
• Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
• Knowledge in MS office tools.

Preferred candidate profile

• Extensive experience on commodities development (for e.g. Interior components like IP&CNSL, Air vents, Ducts, Pillar Trims, Door Trims) new part design, on-going product development changes; digital pre-assembly
• Extensive experience in developing CAD designs in CATIA, based on Engineering direction for commodities in above mentioned PMTs
• Facilitating Engineering review of the CAD using available collaborative tools such as Web-Ex, IM, emails etc.
• Understanding the geometric requirements within the context of the vehicle as defined by engineering requirements.
• Applying GD&T for completed designs.
• Ensuring the quality of CAD meets CAD Design standards.
• Executing as well as checking the progress of the Designs, and suggest alternatives whenever required to make sure that the deliverables are met with the appropriate quality for each milestone of the Product Development process
