Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Design Engineer with expertise in Automotive Interior Trim Design to support the development of plastic and trim components for passenger and commercial vehicles. The candidate will be responsible for concept development, CAD design, engineering releases, and product development activities while ensuring compliance with quality, cost, weight, and timing targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop Automotive Interior Components such as:
- Instrument Panel (IP)
- Door Trims
- Floor Console
- Pillar Trims
- Soft and Hard Trim Parts
- Prepare concept designs, master sections, feasibility studies, and packaging layouts.
- Perform component and assembly design considering quality, cost, weight, manufacturability, and performance requirements.
- Create and maintain 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D manufacturing drawings.
- Manage engineering deliverables, design releases, and product documentation.
- Develop and maintain EBOM, PBOM, process flow charts, and manufacturing documentation.
- Handle CAD data management, PLM activities, engineering change requests (ECR), and engineering change notices (ECN).
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, manufacturing, and customers throughout the product development cycle.
- Participate in design reviews and provide technical recommendations for design improvements.
- Support product validation, testing, and launch activities.
