Qualifications

• Experience: 5 to 17 years in relevant CAD/Automotive domain.
• Proficient in CATIA V5/V6 for Body Engineering CAD concepts.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in CAD geometry and master sections.

Responsibilities

• Create CAD geometry and drawings for Interior-Cabin systems.
• Design and develop CAD data ensuring maturity levels are up to date.
• Provide CAD support and lead design progress within program timescales.
• Check and manage interfaces and clearances between parts.
• Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts and escalate unresolved issues.
• Deliver all project outputs on time with strong attention to detail.

Experience: 5 to 17 yrs

Scope of Role

The Engineer is responsible for generating CATIA V5/V6 Body Engineering CAD concepts/ solutions for projects of Interior Interior-Cabin Trims.

Area of Responsibility

• This position is responsible for creation of CAD geometry and Drawings in support of various Interior-Cabin system.
• Responsible for the design and development of -
• Ensure CAD data is up to date and reflects the required levels of maturity at any given point in time
• Provide CAD support, leading and progressing the design in line with the program timescales and deliverable cadence
• Ability to check and manage Interfaces and clearance to interface parts.
• Ensure manufacturing feasibility of parts.
• Ensuring issues that cannot be resolved are escalated to Team Lead.
• Ensuring that the all-project deliverables are met on time.
• Extensive experience in using CATIA V5 & V6. Catia V6 is most preferred.
• Good all round design skills which must include experience of working on at least one of Pillar trims or scuff plates project.
• Experience in Soft trims will be an added advantage.
• Successful history of delivery within the automotive sector.
• Engineering knowledge of defined component(s) / system(s) design, function, performance, production & manufacturing requirements.
