Job summary

Nilkamal Limited in Tamil Nadu is seeking a maintenance leader to oversee factory machine upkeep and preventiv e maintenance programs. You will train operators, manage spare parts, and drive improvements to minimize breakdowns.

The role requires hands-on experience with injection moulding machines, PLC troubleshooting, electrical maintenance, and strong safety/EHS practices within a manufacturing setting. You will lead a team and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in preventive and breakdown maintenance across manufacturing equipment.
• Maintenance of injection moulding machines and associated peripherals.
• Hands-on PLC troubleshooting in production environments.
• Electrical maintenance and safe operation of electrical systems.
• Planning and scheduling of preventive maintenance activities.
• Compliance with Safety & EHS regulations and practices.
• Leading, mentoring, and training maintenance teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain machinery and utility equipment across the factory to ensure uptime.
• Perform preventive maintenance as per scheduled plans for all machines.
• Train machine operators on preventive and breakdown maintenance procedures.
• Maintain machine-wise maintenance records and spare parts inventory.
• Support production by minimizing breakdowns and achieving planned targets.
• Implement energy-saving initiatives and train employees on energy conservation.
• Ensure compliance with Electricity Board and other statutory requirements.
• Drive process improvements, equipment development, and plant safety initiatives.
• Promote a strong safety culture to achieve zero accidents in the workplace.
• Ensure EHS compliance and maintain documentation under QMS.
• Lead and manage the maintenance team through goal setting, performance reviews, mentoring, and coaching.
• Provide electrical and PLC troubleshooting/support across the organization.
• Work with SAP for maintenance-related activities and documentation.
