Job summary

Panasonic Life Solutions India is seeking a maintenance engineer to ensure maximum availability and reliability of manufacturing equipment through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance, while supporting production, EHS, quality and cost objectives.

You will implement TPM, Kaizen, Lean, and OEE improvements, maintain maintenance records, and ensure safety standards, LT safety procedures, and timely reporting of KPIs.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical engineering.
• 3–6 years of maintenance experience in Wire and Cable manufacturing.
• Experience with TPM, Lean, OEE, and RCA is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery.
• Maintain machines, assembly lines, testing equipment, conveyors, and utilities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and minimize downtime.
• Develop preventive maintenance schedules and maintain records.
• Support safety audits, LOTO procedures, and maintenance reporting.

Role & responsibilities

Job Summary

Responsible for ensuring maximum availability, reliability, and efficiency of manufacturing equipment and utilities through preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities. The role supports continuous production operations while maintaining EHS, quality, and cost objectives.

Key Responsibilities Equipment Maintenance

• Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of production machinery.
• Maintain all machines, assembly lines, testing equipment, conveyors, compressors, and utility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues.
• Ensure minimum downtime and quick restoration of equipment.

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
• Maintain maintenance records, checklists, and equipment history cards.
• Monitor machine performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Support predictive maintenance activities to prevent failures.
• Raise requisitions for maintenance consumables and spare parts.

Process Improvement

• Implement Kaizen, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and OEE improvement initiatives.
• Analyse recurring breakdowns and implement corrective actions.
• Support automation and equipment upgrades.

Safety & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with EHS and electrical safety standards.
• Follow LOTO (Lock Out Tag Out) procedures during maintenance activities.
• Participate in safety audits and risk assessments.

Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain maintenance logs and reports.
• Track downtime, MTBF, MTTR, and maintenance KPIs.
• Prepare monthly maintenance performance reports.

Required Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical.
• 3-6 years of maintenance experience in Wire and Cable manufacturing industry.
