Job summary

A software solutions provider is seeking an experienced Trading Application & Algo Tester to conduct functional testing on various trading applications. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 7 years in software testing with expertise in manual testing and defect management tools. Responsibilities include preparing test cases, conducting various testing phases, and reporting defects. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and SQL for data verification is essential. This position requires full-time in-office attendance in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in software testing, especially in trading applications.
• Excellent skills in defect reporting and analysis.
• Experience with SQL Server for data verification.
• Knowledge of SDLC and STLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with SQL-based data verification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional testing on trading applications.
• Prepare and execute test cases based on business requirements.
• Participate in scrum meetings to discuss test statuses.
• Design traceability matrices to link business requirements with test cases.
• Report defects clearly and track in defect tracking tool.
• Conduct functional, regression, re-testing, system and sanity tests.
• Work in an Agile environment with a Scrum team.
• Participate in Scrum meetings and status reporting.
• Design and execute test cases to verify business requirements.
• Create Traceability Matrix mapping BRs to test cases.
• Review test cases and provide feedback to the team.
• Write SQL queries for data verification using SQL Server.
• Validate end-to-end testing of trading applications.

Trading Application & Algo Tester JOB DESCRIPTON

What he will do

• a) Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• b) Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• c) Expertise in Manual Testing- with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• d) Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• e) Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• f) Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• g) Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• h) Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• i) Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• j) Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• k) Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• l) Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• m) Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• n) Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
