A software services company in Mumbai is seeking a Trading Application & Algo Tester with 4 to 7 years of experience. Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of relevant experience in software testing.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Experience with defect management tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic functional testing of trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and prepare test cases.
• Report defects and review test cases with the team.
• Maintain strong understanding of SDLC/STLC and defect life cycle; report defects clearly.
• Execute various testing types: functional, regression, re-testing, system and sanity testing.
• Work with Agile methodology and participate in Scrum meetings to discuss status.
• Design and execute test cases ensuring coverage of business requirements.
• Create traceability matrices mapping requirements to test cases.
• Review test cases and provide feedback to teammates.
• Write SQL queries against databases for data verification.

Trading Application & Algo Tester JOB DESCRIPTON

What he will do

• a) Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• b) Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• c) Expertise in Manual Testing- with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• d) Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• e) Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• f) Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• g) Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• h) Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• i) Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• j) Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• k) Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• l) Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• m) Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• n) Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
