Job summary

A leading software services company in Mumbai is seeking a Trading Application & Algo Tester with 4 to 7 years of experience. You will be responsible for conducting functional testing for trading applications, managing defects, and collaborating within an agile team. Ideal candidates have strong manual testing skills and knowledge of the software development lifecycle. This role offers a full-time position from the office in Mumbai.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in testing applications.
• Expertise in Manual Testing and defect management tools.
• Good knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Competent in defect reporting and management tools like HP-ALM

Responsibilities

• Conduct functional testing of trading applications.
• Identify and prepare test scenarios and cases.
• Report defects and participate in scrum meetings.
• Demonstrate knowledge of SDLC/STLC throughout testing lifecycle
• Report defects clearly and track through resolution
• Conduct functional, regression, re-testing, system and sanity testing
• Collaborate in Agile/scrum ceremonies and share status updates
• Design Traceability Matrix mapping BRs to test cases
• Write SQL queries for data verification against databases
• Contribute to sanity, smoke, and regression testing as needed

Trading Application & Algo Tester JOB DESCRIPTON

What he will do

• a) Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• b) Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• c) Expertise in Manual Testing- with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• d) Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• e) Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• f) Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• g) Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• h) Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• i) Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• j) Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• k) Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• l) Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• m) Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• n) Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
