Job summary

A leading software solutions company in Mumbai is seeking a Trading Application & Algo Tester with 4 to 7 years of experience. The role involves functional testing of trading applications, defect reporting, and collaboration in an Agile environment. Ideal candidates will have expertise in manual testing, SDLC, and SQL queries. This is a full-time position requiring work from the office.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in software testing, particularly in trading applications.
• Expertise in manual testing and defect management.
• Strong understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Experience writing SQL queries for verification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic functional testing of trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and execute test cases.
• Report defects and participate in sprint meetings.
• Apply SDLC/STLC knowledge and perform various testing types.
• Report defects clearly and manage their lifecycle.
• Work in an Agile environment with a Scrum team and attend meetings.
• Design and execute test cases mapping to business requirements.
• Create Traceability Matrix linking BRs to test cases.
• Review test cases and provide feedback to team.
• Write SQL queries for data verification and validation.

Trading Application & Algo Tester JOB DESCRIPTON

What he will do

• a) Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• b) Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• c) Expertise in Manual Testing- with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• d) Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• e) Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• f) Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• g) Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• h) Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• i) Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• j) Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• k) Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• l) Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• m) Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• n) Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
