A leading software services company in Mumbai seeks a Trading Application & Algo Tester to perform functional testing for trading applications. Candidates should have 4-7 years of experience in manual testing, defect management, and a strong understanding of SDLC, with expertise in SQL for database verification. The role requires conducting testing in an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• 4-7 years of experience in functional testing of trading applications.
• Expertise in defect management tools and SQL for data verification.
• Strong knowledge of SDLC and STLC processes.
• Knowledge of SDLC/STLC and Agile methodologies.
• Proficient in writing SQL queries for data verification.
• Experience with HP-ALM 12.53.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic functional testing for trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and prepare test cases.
• Report defects and manage the defect life cycle.
• Apply SDLC/STLC knowledge and ensure quality across cycles.
• Report defects clearly and precisely.
• Conduct functional, regression, retesting, system and sanity testing.
• Work in an Agile environment with Scrum and participate in Scrum ceremonies.
• Develop traceability matrices mapping requirements to test cases.
• Review test cases and provide review comments to teammates.
• Write SQL queries for data verification against databases.
• Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.

Trading Application & Algo Tester JOB DESCRIPTON

What he will do

• a) Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• b) Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• c) Expertise in Manual Testing- with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• d) Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• e) Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• f) Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• g) Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• h) Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• i) Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• j) Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• k) Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• l) Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• m) Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
• n) Involved in Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression, Functional and Non-Functional Testing.
