Job summary

A leading software services company in Mumbai seeks an experienced Trading Application & Algo Tester. The candidate will be responsible for functional testing of trading applications and managing defect reporting. With 4 to 7 years of experience required, knowledge of Agile methodology and SQL skills are essential. This is a full-time office-based position offering industry-standard benefits and remuneration.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in software testing, especially in Trading Applications.
• Extensive experience in functional, regression, and system testing.
• Good understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, re-testing, system and sanity testing.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and Scrum ceremonies.
• Knowledge of traceability matrices mapping requirements to test cases.
• Ability to write SQL queries for data verification against database (SQL Server).
• Experience conducting sanity, smoke, regression and non-functional testing.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional testing of trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and prepare test cases.
• Design traceability matrix to map business requirements.
• Apply SDLC/STLC principles and ensure proper defect reporting lifecycles.
• Lead in functional, regression, re-testing, system and sanity testing activities.
• Participate in Agile SCRUM meetings and provide test status updates.
• Develop traceability matrices to map business requirements to test cases.
• Review test cases and provide constructive feedback to the team.
• Write SQL queries for data verification against SQL Server databases.
• Contribute to Sanity, Smoke, Retesting, Regression and Non-Functional testing.

Trading Application & Algo Tester JOB DESCRIPTON

What he will do

• a) Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• b) Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• c) Expertise in Manual Testing- with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• d) Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• e) Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• f) Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• g) Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• h) Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• i) Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• j) Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• k) Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• l) Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• m) Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
