Job summary

A leading software services company in Mumbai is looking for a Trading Application & Algo Tester with 4 to 7 years of experience. The role involves functional testing of trading applications, preparation and execution of test cases, and working within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have expertise in manual testing and defect management tools. This is a full-time role requiring office attendance.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in software testing.
• Expertise in Manual Testing and defect management tools.
• Very good knowledge of SDLC and STLC.
• Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC.
• Excellent defect reporting skills.
• Experience in functional, regression, re-testing, system and sanity testing.
• Knowledge of Agile methodology with scrum team.
• Scrum meetings to discuss test status.
• Understanding of defect life cycle.
• Design and execute test cases mapping to business requirements.
• Create traceability matrix to map BRs with test cases.
• Conduct test case reviews and provide feedback.
• Write SQL queries against databases for data verification using SQL Server.
• Involved in sanity, smoke, retesting, regression, functional and non-functional testing.

Responsibilities

• Conduct basic functional testing of trading applications.
• Identify test scenarios and execute test cases.
• Design the Traceability Matrix for mapping requirements.
• Coordinate with Scrum team and participate in daily stand-ups.
• Execute regression, sanity and non-functional tests as required.

Trading Application & Algo Tester JOB DESCRIPTON

What he will do

• a) Basic functional Testing of (Capital Market) Trading Application like Omnesys, Greeksoft, ODIN, etc…
• b) Identification of test scenarios, preparation and execution of test cases to verify application functionality against business requirements.
• c) Expertise in Manual Testing- with defect management tool such as HP-ALM 12.53
• d) Very good knowledge of software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software testing life cycle (STLC).
• e) Excellent skills in Defect Reporting.
• f) Extensive experience in Functional, Regression, Re-Testing, system and Sanity Testing.
• g) Knowledge on Agile methodology with scrum team.
• h) Scrum Meeting to discuss the Test status report.
• i) Excellent understanding of Defect life cycle.
• j) Designing and executing test cases to ensure that business requirements and functional specifications are tested.
• k) Design the Traceability Matrix to map Business Requirements with test Case.
• l) Conducted Test Case review and send the review comments to team mates.
• m) Experience in writing SQL Queries against database for data verification using SQL Server.
