Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 18 years of relevant experience.
• Substantial experience in the cable or conductor manufacturing industry.
• Proven leadership in Technical, Quality, R&D or Compliance.
• Experience with international standards and product certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical, quality and global compliance functions for cables and conductors.
• Establish the technical and approvals roadmap for Europe, USA, Australia and other markets.
• Lead product design, costing inputs, and design-for-manufacturing.
• Drive new product development from market requirement through testing, certification and commercialization.
• Lead product approvals with UL, certification bodies, laboratories and international customers.
• Strengthen ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation with the GM – Plant & Operations.
• Establish document control for designs, drawings, BOMs, TDS, QAPs, test reports and approvals.
• Review customer specifications, tenders, deviations, technical offers and complaints.
• Conduct standards and technical training for Technical, Quality, Production and Commercial teams.
• Represent Pasondia in technical discussions with customers, consultants, utilities and approval agencies.

Job description

Pasondia Cables Pvt. Ltd., established in 1999, is expanding its manufacturing capacity and strengthening its technical, quality and global compliance capabilities for entry into advanced international markets.

We are looking for an experienced VP/Head – Technical, Quality & Global Compliance from the cable and conductor industry.

This position will lead product engineering, quality systems, new product development, international standards, global approvals, design governance and technical capability building.

This is not a routine QA role. The selected professional must combine deep cable/conductor engineering knowledge with product design, costing awareness, quality leadership and international certification experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical, quality and global compliance functions for cables and conductors.
• Establish the technical and approvals roadmap for Europe, USA, Australia and other target international markets.
• Lead product design, construction review, technical calculations, design-for-manufacturing and technical costing inputs.
• Drive new product development from market requirement through design, testing, certification and commercialisation.
• Lead product approvals and interactions with UL, certification bodies, laboratories, utilities, consultants and international customers.
• Maintain working knowledge of IEC, EN, BS, ASTM, UL, AS/NZS, NF and other applicable international standards.
• Strengthen ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation in coordination with the GM – Plant & Operations.
• Establish document control for designs, drawings, BOMs, GTPs, TDS, QAPs, test reports, type-test records and approvals.
• Review customer specifications, tenders, deviations, technical offers and complaints.
• Conduct standards and technical training for Technical, Quality, Production and Commercial teams.
• Represent Pasondia in technical discussions with customers, consultants, utilities and approval agencies.
• Support cost optimisation without compromising applicable standards, performance or product quality.

Candidate profile

• B.E./B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum 18 years of relevant experience.
• Must have substantial experience in the cable or conductor manufacturing industry.
• Proven leadership experience in Technical, Quality, R&D, Product Engineering or Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of cable construction, conductor design, testing, materials, manufacturing processes and technical costing.
• Demonstrated experience with international standards, product certifications and approval processes.
• Proven record of new product development and technical customer handling.
• Strong written and spoken English for international technical discussions and documentation.
• Must be willing to work full-time on-site in Ghaziabad and relocate if required.
