Job summary

Tempsens Instruments (India) Limited in Udaipur, Rajasthan, seeks an experienced Quality Manager – Cable Manufacturing to lead QA, QC and QMS activities. You will ensure BIS, ISO, IS/IEC/UL standards compliance for raw materials, processes, cables and harness assemblies, and drive continual quality improvement.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) as per ISO and applicable requirements.
• Ensure quality control of incoming raw materials, in-process production and finished goods.
• Establish and monitor inspection, testing, quality plans, process controls and acceptance criteria for cables and cable assemblies.
• Coordinate and manage BIS, ISO, customer, internal and third-party audits, including preparation and closure of audit observations/non-conformities.
• Monitor cable quality parameters and other applicable characteristics.
• Handle customer complaints, NCR, CAPA, 8D and root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Ensure proper control and disposition of non-conforming raw materials, components, in-process and finished products.
• Monitor calibration and verification of measuring, inspection and testing equipment.
• Manage supplier quality, incoming material inspection and supplier corrective actions.
• Review inspection reports, test reports, quality records, traceability documents and other QMS documentation.
• Analyze rejection, rework, scrap, process defects and customer complaints and drive continual quality improvement.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Engineering, R&D and other departments for effective implementation of quality requirements.
• Support product validation, testing, customer approvals and regulatory/certification activities.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager – Cable Manufacturing to lead Quality Assurance, Quality Control and QMS activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance of raw materials, manufacturing processes, cable and wire harness products with BIS, ISO, IS, IEC, UL and other applicable national/international standards, customer specifications and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable BIS standards, BIS licence requirements, IS/IEC/UL and other relevant standards.
• Coordinate and manage BIS, ISO, customer, internal and third-party audits, including preparation and closure of audit observations/non-conformities.
• Monitor cable quality parameters and other applicable characteristics.
• Handle customer complaints, NCR, CAPA, 8D and root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.

Skills Required

• Strong knowledge of Cable Manufacturing, Testing and Quality of cables.
• Good knowledge of QMS, ISO, BIS compliance and applicable IS/IEC/UL standards.
• Experience in incoming, in-process and final inspection and testing.
• Strong knowledge of NCR, CAPA, 8D, Root Cause Analysis and Corrective/Preventive Action.
• Experience in handling BIS, ISO, customer and third-party audits.
• Knowledge of supplier quality management and customer complaint handling.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, cable specifications, wiring diagrams, BOMs and technical documents.
• Good documentation, analytical, problem-solving and team-management skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and quality documentation systems.

Preferred Industry

Candidates with experience in Cable Manufacturing, Electrical & Electronic Products, Industrial Automation, Automotive, Railway, Aerospace, Defence, Instrumentation or related manufacturing industries will be preferred. Experience in BIS-certified manufacturing, cable testing, QMS implementation, certification audits and customer-specific quality requirements will be an added advantage.
