Job summary

Wahal Process Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (Wahal Engineers) in Sonipat, Haryana, is seeking a skilled VMC Operator to machine precision components for our mixers and related equipment.

You will set up jobs, run them to drawing tolerances and maintain the machine in good condition. Ideal candidates have 2–5 years hands-on VMC experience, familiarity with Fanuc, Siemens or Mitsubishi controllers, and an ITI/diploma in Mechanical.

Qualifications

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent trade.
• 2-5 years hands-on VMC operating experience.
• Able to read drawings and GD&T basics.
• Proficient with measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings with tolerances and surface finish.
• Set up VMC with fixtures, offsets and tool loading.
• Run milling, drilling, boring, tapping and contouring on SS 304/316 and other alloys.
• Edit and optimize CNC programs and adjust for cycle time and tool life.
• Inspect parts during and after machining using precision instruments.
• Maintain tolerances and surface finish on rotor-stator parts.
• Follow job cards and report delays or material issues.
• Perform daily machine checks and basic preventive maintenance.
• Maintain housekeeping and PPE compliance.

About Us

Wahal Process Technologies manufactures high shear mixers, homogenizers, dispersers, bead mills, agitators and related blending equipment for pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, paint and chemical clients.

Role Overview

We need a skilled VMC operator to machine precision components for our mixers and agitators, such as rotors, stators, shafts, flanges, housings and mounting plates. You will set up jobs, run them to drawing tolerances and keep the machine in good condition.

Key Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, including dimensions, tolerances and surface finish requirements
• Set up the VMC: fixtures, work offsets, tool offsets and tool loading
• Run machining operations such as milling, drilling, boring, tapping and contouring on SS 304/316, mild steel and other alloys
• Edit and optimize programs on the controller, and make minor program corrections for cycle time and tool life
• Inspect parts during and after machining using vernier, micrometer, bore gauge, height gauge and dial indicator, and maintain first-piece and in-process inspection records
• Select cutting tools, speeds and feeds suited to the material, and monitor tool wear and replace inserts on time
• Maintain required tolerances and surface finish, particularly on rotor-stator parts where precision affects performance
• Follow job cards and production schedules, and report delays, tool shortages or material issues early
• Do daily machine checks, lubrication, coolant management and basic preventive maintenance
• Maintain housekeeping, safety practices and proper use of PPE
• Report scrap, rework and rejections, and support root cause analysis with QC

Requirements

• ITI/Diploma in Mechanical, Machinist or a related trade (or equivalent experience)
• 2-5 years of hands‑on VMC operating experience
• Working knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens or Mitsubishi controllers (any one is acceptable)
• Ability to read drawings, and knowledge of basic GD&T
• Proficiency with measuring instruments
• Experience machining stainless steel is strongly preferred
• Ability to do tool and offset setting independently, without constant supervision

Preferred

• Basic CAM or G-code and M-code programming knowledge
• Experience with rotating equipment, pumps, gearboxes or precision engineering parts
• Experience in a pharma or food‑grade equipment manufacturing environment
• Ability to operate a lathe or CNC turning machine as a secondary skill

Working Conditions

• Full‑time, on‑site at the Sonipat factory
• Day shift, with overtime when required for urgent orders
• Standing work on the shop floor
