Job summary

Otto Hofstetter India Pvt Ltd in Bengaluru seeks a skilled VMC Operator with 4–5 years of hands-on machining experience. You will operate and set Makino VMC machines, read engineering drawings, and work with Fanuc controllers to produce precise mould components.

Ideal candidates will have ITI or Diploma in related field, strong measuring instrument knowledge, and the ability to work independently with minimum supervision. Immediate joiners preferred.

Qualifications

• ITI / Diploma or related field experience required.
• 4–5 years of VMC operator experience.
• Experience with Makino VMC machines and Fanuc controllers.

Responsibilities

• Operate and set VMC machines efficiently.
• Perform tool offset setting and fixture setup.
• Handle 3-axis machining and high-speed mould components.
• Inspect components with precision measuring instruments.
• Monitor performance and ensure machine maintenance and safety.

Job description

Role: VMC Operator

Experience: 4 to 5 Years

Education: ITI / Diploma or work experience in related field (NTTF / GTTC/CIPET)

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and set VMC machines efficiently
• Perform tool offset setting, fixture setting, correction handling
• Handle 3-axis machining operations
• Execute high-speed machining for mould components
• Perform electrode machining activities
• Inspect components using precision measuring instruments
• Maintain dimensional accuracy and machining quality
• Monitor machine performance and optimize machining cycle time
• Ensure proper machine maintenance and workplace safety

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge in Master cam is important
• Experience in Makino VMC machines
• Strong knowledge of Fanuc controller
• Understanding of mould manufacturing processes
• Good knowledge of measuring instruments
• Ability to read engineering drawings independently

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Experience in mould manufacturing industry
• Knowledge of stainless-steel machining
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
• Immediate joiners preferred
