Job summary

MACOM in Haryana, Sonipat invites skilled CNC operators to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on setting up and operating VMC machines to produce precision components, while reading drawings, tolerances, and GD&T to ensure conformance.

You will load and edit CNC programs, set offsets, run first-piece inspections, and monitor tool life and machine performance, maintaining quality records and working with Quality, Production, Tool Room, Programming, and Maintenance teams.

Qualifications

• Experience with VMC machine operation and setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, dimensions and GD&T.
• Set cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures and offsets.
• Load, edit and execute CNC programs as required.
• Perform first-piece inspection and adjust offsets.
• Maintain tool life, monitor processes and ensure accuracy.
• Record production and inspection data; cooperate with teams.

Candidate should have sound knowledge of VMC Machine Operating/ Setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate VMC machines for machining precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances, and GD&T.
• Set cutting tools, tool holders, workholding fixtures, and machine offsets.
• Load, edit, and execute CNC programs as per production requirements.
• Set work offsets, tool offsets, cutting parameters, and tool compensation.
• Perform first-piece inspection and make necessary offset corrections.
• Monitor machining processes and ensure dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
• Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges, and dial gauges.
• Replace tools based on tool wear and monitor tool life.
• Troubleshoot basic machining, tooling, fixture, and dimensional issues.
• Maintain production, inspection, and machine records.
• Coordinate with Quality, Production, Tool Room, Programming, and Maintenance teams.
• Minimize rejection, rework, tool consumption, and machine downtime.
• Maintain machine cleanliness and follow preventive maintenance practices.
• Follow safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards.
