Job summary

Kalashri Engineering Pvt. Ltd. is looking for an experienced VMC Operator to join our Production Department.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in machine setting, job setting, heavy component machining, and new product development in a CNC job work environment. Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines independently, perform complete machine setup, load heavy components safely, and read engineering drawings with precision.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in machine setting and job setting for CNC work.
• Experience with reading engineering drawings and determining work offsets.
• Familiarity with measuring instruments and inspection basics.

Responsibilities

• Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines independently.
• Perform complete machine setup and job setting.
• Set fixtures, tools, work offsets, and tool offsets.
• Load and unload heavy engineering components safely.
• Read engineering drawings and machining process sheets.
• Carry out first-piece inspection and in-process inspection.
• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and Dial Indicator.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain production targets.
• Reduce rejection, rework, and machine downtime.
• Coordinate with CNC Programmers and Quality Department.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines independently.
• Perform complete machine setup and job setting.
• Set fixtures, tools, work offsets, and tool offsets.
• Load and unload heavy engineering components safely.
• Read engineering drawings and machining process sheets.
• Carry out first-piece inspection and in-process inspection.
• Use measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Bore Gauge, and Dial Indicator.
• Monitor machine performance and maintain production targets.
• Reduce rejection, rework, and machine downtime.
• Support new component development and trial machining.
• Coordinate with CNC Programmers and Quality Department.
• Maintain machine cleanliness, coolant level, and daily maintenance.
• Follow 5S, Safety, and company quality standards.
