4ward Hr Consulting is seeking an experienced Visual Merchandising Lead in Haryana, India. The role focuses on creating VM moodboards, guidelines, and brand-aligned displays for multi-brand outlets, shop-in-shop counters, and kiosks.

You will coordinate with vendors, manage inventories, and ensure high-quality, consistent VM across stores. Strong English, design software skills, and 7–10 years in retail VM are essential.

Job description

1. Visual Merchandising Strategy & Guidelines
  • Design innovative VM moodboards and kits for new development and trials, in line with brand narrative and story.
  • Translate brand identity, product USPs, and campaign objectives into clear display standards and layouts.
  • Assist in the development, documentation, and execution of visual merchandising guidelines for:
    • Multi-brand outlets (MBOs)
    • Shop-in-shop counters and kiosks
  • Ensure VM guidelines are practical, scalable, and adaptable across different store formats and space constraints.
2. Display Kits, Fixtures & Vendor Coordination
  • Coordinate with existing vendors for production of display kits, fixtures, signage, and brand collateral, including props, key visuals.
  • Identify and evaluate new vendors for display counters (front counters, backwalls) and fixtures / POP materials
  • Share clear briefs, timelines, quantities, and quality standards with vendors.
  • Follow up on sampling, approvals, production timelines, and dispatch schedules.
3. POP Material Management & Record Keeping
  • Maintain accurate records of all assigned POP and VM materials, outlet-wise and channel-wise.
  • Track deployment status, damages, replacements, and returns.
  • Raise purchase requests and place orders for VM materials only after internal approvals.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of existing VM assets before re-ordering.
4. Store Setup, Installation & Execution
  • Support new store setups, counter installations, and display roll-outs across channels.
  • Ensure correct installation of Display kits, Fixtures, Visual communications
  • Maintain strict adherence to brand identity, colour standards, spacing, and product placement norms.
5. Campaign & Sales Coordination
  • Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Retail teams for Campaign launches, Festive activations, New product introductions
  • Coordinate with the sales team to prepare counter‑wise display plans based on:
    • Watches billed / Order placed quantity
    • Channel priority (brand store / MBO / online‑assisted retail)
  • Propose practical display layouts aligned with business volumes and store size.
6. Brand Consistency & Quality Control
  • Ensure uniformity, quality, and consistency of visual merchandising across all locations.
  • Check alignment with brand guidelines of Display hierarchy, Product storytelling, Visual balance and cleanliness
  • Flag deviations and ensure timely corrective actions.
7. Inventory, Logistics & Replenishment
  • Maintain a central inventory of VM materials and fixtures.
  • Ensure timely productiona and dispatch / replenishment of kits and collaterals
  • Plan VM material movement efficiently to avoid delays during launches and roll-outs.
8. Store Visits, Audits & Feedback
  • Conduct regular store visits and VM audits across regions.
  • Evaluate Display execution quality, Product visibility, Compliance with guidelines
  • Share structured feedback and improvement recommendations with sales and retail teams.
  • Support stores with corrective VM solutions wherever required.
9. Photo & Video Shoot Support
  • Support planning and coordination of product and lifestyle shoots, including watch arrangement and styling, Prop placement and background alignment
  • Ensure VM aesthetics match brand standards for E-commerce, Social media, Marketing campaigns
10. Reporting & Presentations
  • Prepare and maintain: category wise segment wise display of watches at stores.
  • Reports & presentations: VM reports, Store audit reports, Layouts and mock-ups, Internal presentations
  • Share updates on execution status, challenges, and improvement areas with internal stakeholders.
11. Competition Review, Market Intelligence & Reporting

Regularly visit competitor brand stores, MBO counters & observe and document how competing brands present their watches, including:

Overall display layout and zoning |Product grouping and hierarchy |Use of space at counters and backwalls

Review competitor display kits, fixtures & observe props and supporting elements (lifestyle props, key visuals)

Propose practical and implementable suggestions, such as: Display kit upgrades| New prop ideas |Better counter zoning |Improved branding visibility.

12. Candidate profile requirements:
  • At least 7-10 yrs experience in retail visual merchandising, preferably in watch industry
  • Candidate who has anchored any design‑led visual merchandising project, not just execution
  • Must be proficient in designing software usage Adobe illustrator or Coraldraw or Auto CAD
  • Must have the ability to think and view any installation, artwork, visual element creatively
  • Brand & Fashion consciousness with English language proficiency is a must
