Job summary

EnglishYaari is a live English communication platform for working professionals in India. We are seeking a skilled video editor who will own the editing for all content, including Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, long-form YouTube videos, and AI-generated story videos for ads and organic content.

You will collaborate with the content and marketing teams, shaping the look and feel of videos. Please have 1–3 years of experience, strong Premiere Pro/After Effects skills, and comfort working from

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of video editing experience with a portfolio.
• Strong command over Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Experience editing both short form and long form content.
• Hands-on experience with AI video tools (Runway, Kling, HeyGen, ElevenLabs, Midjourney) or willing to learn quickly.
• Good storytelling, pacing, and ability to make viewers stop scrolling.
• Able to take feedback and iterate through rounds.
• Comfortable working from our Gurugram office.

Responsibilities

• Edit Reels, Shorts and other short form videos with hooks, pacing, captions and sound.
• Edit long form YouTube videos, including talking head, educational and interview formats.
• Create AI story videos end to end from script to final export.
• Add motion graphics, subtitles, B-roll and sound design as needed.
• Repurpose long form videos into multiple short clips.
• Maintain a consistent visual style across all content.
• Manage timelines and deliver on schedule.

EnglishYaari is a live English communication platform for working professionals in India. Learners practise one on one with certified tutors, and we run a lot of content across Instagram and YouTube to reach them.

About the role

You will own the editing for everything we publish. That means short form videos for Instagram and YouTube Shorts, long form videos for our YouTube channel, and AI generated story videos that we use in ads and organic content. You will work closely with the content and marketing team, and you will have a say in how our videos look and feel.

What you'll do

1. Edit Reels, Shorts and other short form videos with strong hooks, pacing, captions and sound
2. Edit long form YouTube videos, including talking head, educational and interview formats
3. Create AI story videos end to end, from script and visuals to voiceover and final export
4. Add motion graphics, subtitles, b roll and sound design where needed
5. Repurpose long form videos into multiple short clips
6. Keep a consistent visual style across all content
7. Manage your own timelines and deliver on schedule

What we're looking for

1. 1 to 3 years of video editing experience, with a portfolio to show it
2. Strong command over Premiere Pro, After Effects or similar software
3. Experience editing both short form and long form content
4. Hands on experience with AI video tools such as Runway, Kling, HeyGen, ElevenLabs or Midjourney, or the curiosity to pick them up quickly
5. A good sense of storytelling, pacing and what makes people stop scrolling
6. Ability to take feedback and work through multiple rounds of changes
7. Comfortable working from our Gurugram office

Nice to have

Experience with educational or edtech content

Basic understanding of what performs well on Instagram and YouTube

Thumbnail design or basic graphic design skills
