Job summary

Shristi Infrastructure is seeking an experienced and results-driven Vice President – Projects to lead and oversee real estate and construction projects in Guwahati. You will manage projects from planning and design through execution, completion, and handover, ensuring timely delivery within budget and quality standards.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Civil Engineering from a recognised university or institution.
• Postgraduate qualification in Construction Management, Project Management, or Business Administration will be an added advantage.
• 20–25 years of relevant experience in real estate, infrastructure, or construction.
• Significant experience in a senior project leadership position.
• Proven record of delivering large-scale residential, commercial, mixed-use, township, or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, contracts, procurement, construction management, cost control, and statutory compliance.
• Experience in managing multidisciplinary teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project-management software, ERP systems, MS Project, Primavera, AutoCAD, and MS Office will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership for planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of real estate and construction projects.
• Develop project plans, budgets, schedules, resource requirements, and execution strategies.
• Manage the complete project lifecycle including design coordination, tendering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover.
• Ensure projects are completed within approved cost, timeline, quality, and scope.
• Monitor project progress and present regular reports to senior management and Board.
• Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, government authorities, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Review drawings to ensure efficient project execution.
• Lead contract negotiations and manage contractor and vendor performance.
• Identify project risks and implement risk-mitigation measures.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, environmental requirements, labour laws, and safety standards.
• Establish and maintain quality-control and safety-management systems across sites.
• Oversee budgeting, cost control, cash-flow planning, billing, and financial performance.
• Manage statutory approvals, permits, licences, and liaison with authorities.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate project managers, engineers, site teams, and others.
• Promote modern construction methods, technology, sustainability, and process improvements.
• Ensure smooth project closure, documentation, customer handover, and defect-liability management.
