Job summary

NAB India is seeking a senior KYC/AML leader to drive ongoing customer due diligence and regulatory compliance. You will lead a team, coach analysts, and ensure timely delivery of investigations and reviews.

The role emphasizes risk management and strong stakeholder collaboration in a dynamic, hybrid environment. You will oversee process improvements, governance reporting, and cost-quality-service balance while aligning with NAB's risk tolerance.

• Experience leading and scaling teams; transition and BAU improvements.
• Strong understanding of AML/CTF legislation and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of analysts responsible for Ongoing Customer Due Diligence to ensure financial crime compliance.
• Coach and develop analysts; manage performance and SLAs.
• Liaise with stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure timely delivery.

Your New Role:

• The primary purpose of this role is to ensure NAB meets its obligations in relation to Know Your Customer (KYC) - Customer Onboarding and Enhanced Customer Due Diligence.
• This role is responsible for leading a team of analysts with responsibility for conducting Ongoing Customer Due Diligence reviews for medium risk customer
• This role is also responsible for providing leadership, coaching, development and meeting operational SLA's

Key Accountability:

• This role will lead a team of analysts responsible for execution of Ongoing Customer Due Diligence to ensure financial crime compliance
• Coach and build analyst capability in risk-based Ongoing Customer Due Diligence
• Liaise with key business stakeholders to understand business specific requirements and concerns
• Monitor teams performance against agreed SLA's
• Utilise the Active Operations Management tool efficiently to manage cost, quality and service
• Action all regulatory/internal audit items within prescribed timelinesEnsure compliance to all required policies, processes and training
• Ensure all change requirements, delivery and implementation are in line with NAB's risk tolerance in order to meet Financial Crime regulatory and legal obligations.

What You'll Bring:

Experience:

• Minimum 15+ years of experience in Refresh & Onboarding/Periodic Reviews with a
• demonstrated understanding of corporate & institutional and/or markets) product, processes
• and systems
• Prior Exposure in transitioning, leading and scaling up teams
• 10+ years of People Management experience handling junior level Analysts as direct reports as
• well
• Proven Experience in driving Process Improvement and transformation initiatives as
• part of BAU is essential
• Extensive prior request servicing and authorisation experience is required
• Experience using ControlIQ or any Productivity or Resource Management tool for planning and performance oversight.
• Manage team of Analysts/Team Members including goal setting/monitoring, performance management, learning compliance, career development.
• Manage daily activities to ensure service levels and quality standards are achieved, and change requirements are completed to agreed timelines.
• Includes processing/authorising daily work requests as required.
• Support Director (Operations) with resource planning to optimise workforce, and performance (e.g. volume) monitoring with internal India and onshore stakeholders.
• Experience in driving Process Improvement and transformation initiatives as part of BAU either thru Technology/or driving organic efficiencies within the group.
• Lead Governance and Reporting thru preparation and presentation of dashboards, Executive Presentation packs etc.
• Assess operational risk and efficiency to reduce risk and uplift work practices. Maintain standard operating procedures.
• Understanding of ControlIQ or any Productivity or Resource Management tool to plan and measure team performance other capabilities.
• Understanding of AML/CTF Legislation.
• Excellent communication skills - Both Written and Verbal.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
