Job summary

Larsen & Toubro in India seeks a Design Engineer with 2–4 years of experience in heat exchangers and pressure vessels to join the engineering team in Dadri, Uttar Pradesh. You will perform detailed designs, code checks, and coordinate with licensors and vendors.

The role requires hands-on PV Elite and AutoCAD usage, drawing interpretation, and BOM preparation while managing multiple projects and global client communications.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of experience in heat exchanger and pressure vessel design.
• Familiar with ASME Pressure Vessel codes (Sec VIII Div.1 & 2).
• Hands-on experience with PV Elite and AutoCAD.
• Ability to read and check drawings of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and reactors.
• Knowledge of weld symbols and geometric tolerances.
• Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with clients and vendors globally.
• Ability to handle multiple projects and meet engineering schedules.
• Familiarity with specifications from major process licensors and EPCs in oil & gas.
• Ability to raise technical queries and prepare material technical delivery conditions.
• Prepare Bills of Materials.

Responsibilities

• Check drawings of pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and reactor internals.
• Raise technical queries and ensure design compliance with codes.
• Prepare Bills of Materials (BOM) for projects.
• Coordinate with licensors, EPCs, clients, and vendors across the globe.
• Communicate design status and issues to project teams.

1 . Candidate should have min 2-4 years of experience in Heat Exchanger/ Pressure vessel Design.

• Conversant with ASME Pressure Vessel codes (e.g. ASME SEC VIII Div.1 & 2, Section II A & D), TEMA, API, etc.
• Hands on experience on PV Elite, AutoCAD, and other pressure vessel design software.
• Checking of drawings of Pressure Vessel, Heat exchangers, Reactor Internals, etc.
• Knowledge of Weld symbols, Geometric dimensioning, and tolerances.
• Strong communication skill
• Should be able to communicate well with client, AI & vendors across globe.
• Ability to work on multiple projects and to maintain schedule of engineering activities.
• Familiar with specification of major process licensor and EPC in field of OIL and Gas.
• Able to understand specifications, raise technical query and Material technical delivery condition.
• Preparation of Bill of Material.
