Position Overview: We are looking for an experienced and proactive Vending Machine Head (VM Head) to oversee the end-to-end operations of our vending machine business. The role will be responsible for machine deployment, installation, technical operations, procurement, inventory management, client coordination, and support for sales and business development activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong technical and operational knowledge, excellent coordination and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, vendors, clients, and internal teams effectively.

Key Responsibilities – Operations & Machine Deployment

• Plan, manage, and execute vending machine deployments at client locations.
• Coordinate machine installation, commissioning, relocation, and decommissioning activities.
• Ensure machines are operational and adequately stocked at all assigned locations.
• Monitor machine performance and take proactive measures to minimize downtime.
• Establish and monitor operational processes for efficient vending machine management.
• Coordinate field teams and service personnel for smooth day-to-day operations.
• Conduct regular site visits and operational audits as required.

Technical Management

• Configure and operate vending machines, including machine settings and product configuration.
• Add, update, and manage products and pricing in vending machine systems.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and operational issues.
• Monitor machine connectivity and understand basic networking requirements related to vending machines.
• Coordinate with technical teams and service engineers for advanced troubleshooting, repairs, and preventivemaintenance.
• Maintain records of machine installations, repairs, service history, and technical issues.
• Ensure preventive maintenance schedules are followed to improve machine uptime.

Procurement & Inventory Management

• Manage procurement of vending products, machine spare parts, consumables, and other operational requirements.
• Identify, evaluate, and coordinate with suppliers and vendors.
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of products and spare parts.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain adequate stock availability.
• Track consumption, stock movement, wastage, and replenishment requirements.
• Maintain proper documentation and records for procurement and inventory.
• Negotiate with vendors wherever required to ensure cost-effective procurement.

Sales & Business Development Support

• Support sales and marketing initiatives for expanding the vending machine business.
• Identify potential client locations and business opportunities for machine deployment.
• Participate in client meetings, product demonstrations, and site evaluations.
• Provide operational and technical inputs during client discussions and new business proposals.
• Coordinate with the sales team during machine deployment and onboarding of new clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and business partners.
• Identify opportunities to improve machine utilization, sales, and revenue at existing locations.

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Act as a key operational point of contact for clients regarding vending machine-related matters.
• Understand client requirements and ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
• Coordinate with clients for installation, maintenance, relocation, and service requirements.
• Maintain professional relationships with clients and ensure a high level of service.
• Coordinate effectively with internal teams, service engineers, vendors, and other stakeholders.

Team Management & Coordination

• Lead and coordinate vending machine operations and field/service teams.
• Allocate responsibilities and monitor team performance.
• Ensure team members follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Train and guide team members on machine operations, product handling, and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor daily operational activities and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Drive accountability and operational discipline across the team.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
• Track machine deployment, uptime, downtime, sales, inventory, service calls, and maintenance activities.
• Maintain accurate records of machines, locations, products, spare parts, and service activities.
• Prepare MIS reports and operational dashboards for management review.
• Handle professional email communication with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure all operational and client-related documentation is properly maintained.

Required Technical & Professional Skills

• Strong knowledge of vending machine operations and deployment.
• Technical understanding of vending machine configuration, product loading, and basic troubleshooting.

Educational Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or any relevant discipline.
• Candidates with experience in vending machines, retail automation, FMCG, retail operations, field operations, ortechnical operations will be preferred.

Experience

• 3–8 years of relevant experience in vending machine operations, technical operations, field operations, retailautomation, FMCG operations, equipment/machine deployment, procurement and vendor management, or service and maintenance operations.
• Candidates with demonstrated experience in managing teams, vendors, client locations, and multiple operationalactivities will be preferred.

Salary & Compensation

50,000 – 70,000 per month
