Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the maintenance team for packing, packaging, and associated production machinery.
  • Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum unplanned downtime.
  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation-related machine problems.
  • Handle maintenance of high-speed packing machines, filling machines, sealing machines, cartoning machines, labeling machines, wrapping machines and conveyor systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, HMI, VFD, servo drives, sensors, pneumatic systems and control panels.
  • Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
  • Maintain critical spare-parts inventory and coordinate with the purchase team for timely availability.

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager Machine Maintenance with strong hands‑on expertise in packing and packaging machines. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring maximum machine availability, minimizing breakdowns, improving equipment reliability, and leading preventive and predictive maintenance activities.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC, servo and automation systems used in high-speed packing and packaging machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the maintenance team for packing, packaging, and associated production machinery.
  • Ensure maximum machine availability and minimum unplanned downtime.
  • Plan and execute preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance activities.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic and automation-related machine problems.
  • Handle maintenance of high-speed packing machines, filling machines, sealing machines, cartoning machines, labeling machines, wrapping machines and conveyor systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain PLC, HMI, VFD, servo drives, sensors, pneumatic systems and control panels.
  • Analyze recurring breakdowns and implement permanent corrective actions.
  • Develop and monitor preventive maintenance schedules and checklists.
  • Maintain critical spare-parts inventory and coordinate with the purchase team for timely availability.
  • Coordinate with production teams to plan maintenance activities without affecting production targets.
  • Maintain machine history, breakdown records, MTBF, MTTR and other maintenance KPIs.
  • Lead root‑cause analysis (RCA) for major and repetitive machine failures.
  • Identify opportunities for machine improvement, automation and energy reduction.
  • Coordinate with machine OEMs, vendors and service engineers for technical support.
  • Supervise installation, commissioning, modification and relocation of new machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintenance procedures.
  • Train and develop technicians and maintenance engineers on troubleshooting and preventive maintenance practices.
  • Prepare maintenance reports and present performance indicators to management.
  • Support annual maintenance budgeting and control maintenance costs.
