Job summary

Source-Right in India seeks a Validation engineer to execute all activities within the System Validation test scope as part of the SIT team. You will validate seats, clusters and ADAS components, ensuring alignment with quality and cost objectives.

Requires BE in Electronics/Electrical and 4–6 years’ experience in automotive validation, with CAN, Ethernet, CAPL and Python skills, plus strong ASPICE/Agile experience. Familiarity with test tools and automation is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electronics/Electrical.
• 4–6 years’ experience in Seat/Cluster/ADAS Validation.
• Hands-on with CAN, Ethernet, CAPL, Python; ASPICE and Agile methods.
• Ability to analyze system architecture and requirements; drive test cases.
• Experience with ALM/Jira/Confluence and related toolchains.

Responsibilities

• Create and execute system validation test patterns and sequences.
• Design, review and execute test cases for system architecture requirements.
• Perform scenario-based testing, analyze results and report defects.
• Develop tests for ISO 26262 Technical Safety Concepts and system requirements.
• Define automation strategy and implement in the automation environment.
• Ensure traceability from architecture to system test cases.
• Generate system test reports in line with standards; reuse analysis across scope.
• Open defects and track progress to closure.
• Define test environment and instrumentation for system tests.

Qualifications :

Experience :

4 to 6 years’ experience in Seat \Cluster \ADAS Validation.

Skills And Competencies

• Relevant understanding of Key automotive system areas: CAN, Ethernet, CAPL, python.
• Product architecture knowledge (Infotainment, Cluster, ADAS, etc )
• ASPICE, Agile methodology
• Capability to analyze system Architecture, System requirements.
• Able to drive testcase and test script.
• Requirements Management Tool (ALM, tool, Interenterprise Architect) Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence).
• Handson Experience of Toolchain: Vector Canoe, VT system, Vteststudio, V-Flash DIVA.

Must Have:

• Experience of working in Scrum team in Agile methodology.

Responsibilities

• System Validation tests pattern/sequences creation and execution according to the defined strategy in line with test standards.
• Design, review and execute test cases for requirements defined by System architecture
• Perform scenario-based testing, result analysis, and defect reporting
• Design, review and execute test cases for Technical Safety Concept\System Requirement (ISO 26262) in line with requirements defined by System architecture.
• Definition of system automation test strategy using internally defined Test automation environment.
• Review and verify System Architecture Design from a testability perspective.
• Ensure traceability from System Architecture, including System Interfaces and Technical Safety concepts, requirements to the System Test Cases.
• Design, review and execute System Test Cases according to the Test Plan and define strategies.
• Implement automated test cases in the defined Automated Test Environment.
• Generate System Test Reports in line with Forvia Standards.
• Perform re-use analysis effectively across the system test scope of work.
• Open System defects and track their progress for closure effectively.
• Define the test environment and needed instrumentation to execute System Test Cases.
