Job summary

Tata Elxsi in Pune, India seeks an experienced automotive validation engineer to design test strategies and automation for EE systems. The role involves developing test specs, executing tests, and reporting issues across infotainment, instrument clusters, ADAS, and more.

You will validate ECUs using CANoe/Canalyser/Vehicle Spy, work with cross-functional teams, and contribute to HIL-based validation and simulation setups to improve early architecture validation effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Experience developing test cases for hardware/software validation.
• Experience validating Automotive EE components (Infotainment, Instrument cluster, etc.).
• Strong understanding of SDV architecture.
• Agile development experience.

Job description

Job Description:

• ` - Design & development Test strategy and test Automation for Validation of EE Automotive systems such as Body Electronics, Connectivity, Telematics ECU features, Infotainment, Instrument Cluster, ADAS, HVAC, etc
• Analyzing the requirements and developing test specifications & test scripts
• Execution of tests, analyzing results and reporting bugs
• Validation of ECU using tools such as CANoe, Canalyser and Vehicle Spy
• Coordination skills within team and external parties
• Experience in any Bug Tracking Tool ( Jira is Preferred)
• Test Planning and execution of respective domain using various domain HILs for the vehicle programs
• Ensuring the HIL readiness as per program timeline
• Contribute to developing a validation strategy and test plan to find issues in a fail early, fail often manner and the reporting mechanism to ensure that issues are tracked and fixed on time.
• Contribute to the building of Test Simulation setup to improve productivity and effectiveness of the early architecture validation effort.
• Perform IVN & Diagnostic validation

Skill Set:

• Proven skills in developing test cases for hardware/software system validation
• Prior experience validating components in the Automotive EE space such as Infotainment, Instrument cluster, Gateway, Cyber Security and FuSa, etc
• Good understanding of SDV Architecture
• Experience in HIL Automation using Vector/NI/dSPACE preferred
• Experience in test case design and development using VTest Studio, scripting using CAPL, Python
• Good understanding of software architectures and integration processes.
• Excellent diagnostics and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong familiarity with emerging SDV - cockpit and Gateway systems
• Strong knowledge in CAN,LIN and other Vehicle networks
• Should have strong working experience with cross functional teams for HIL development and execution
