Job summary

Deutsche Bahn in Bengaluru, India, seeks a Track Alignment Designer with 5+ years of experience to lead track alignment design across project phases. You will review alignments, prepare take-offs, and coordinate with multiple departments to meet client requirements. Proficiency in Civil 3D or Bentley OpenRail Designer is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in Track Alignment Design for Rail Projects.
• Experience on Indian and international projects (urban/greenfield).
• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley PowerRail Track or OpenRail Designer.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of railway industry codes and standards.
• Experience documenting railway engineering from concept to detailed design.
• Regression-based alignment modeling experience is a plus.
• Understanding of railway corridor concepts and constituents.
• Knowledge of corridor types: Mixed Traffic, Passenger, Freight, Metro.
• Knowledge of various railway gauges.

Responsibilities

• Performing design reviews pertaining to the design of the track alignment through all project phases.
• Preparing and reviewing take off quantities.
• Working cooperatively with counterparts in other departments to meet client requirements.
• Developing alignment to fit in given corridor / as-built drawing preparation.
• Creating corridors, cross sections as per clients’ requirement.
• Performing alignment designs to address construction, interface and maintenance issues per quality objectives and standards.
• Producing and checking track alignment designs, grading models, DTM surfaces and related details.
• Working with LIDAR point clouds, managing surveys and ground surface data for design requirements.
• Developing track alignment, profile, and associated grading.

For our project in Bangalore, we are looking for a Track Alignment Designer with minimum 5+ Years of Experience

Responsibilities:

• Performing design reviews pertaining to the design of the track alignment through all project phases
• Preparing and reviewing take off quantities;
• Working cooperatively with counterparts in other departments in order to meet client requirements
• Developing Alignment to fit in given corridor / As-built drawing preparation.
• Creating Corridors, Cross Sections as per clients’ requirement.
• Performing alignment designs to effectively address construction, interface and maintenance issues in accordance with quality objectives and regulations, laws and standards;
• Produce and check track alignment designs, grading models, DTM surface and related details;
• Work with LIDAR point clouds, manage, verify and control surveys and ground surface data for design requirements;
• Developing track alignment, profile, and associated grading

Qualifications

• Should have experience of working in Track Alignment Design in Rail Projects
• Should have worked in Indian and international projects, preferably both urban and greenfield conditions.
• Should have experience of working in any of the environment: Auto Desk Civil 3D, Bentley Power Rail Track / Open rail Designer suite or similar software.
• Organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills in conjunction with innovative thinking;
• Should have knowledge of applicable industry code standards.
• Should have experience in the analysis and documentation of railway engineering works and processes from concept to advanced design stages.
• Having experience in creating alignment model by regression will be value ad.
• Should have a workable idea of the Railway corridor and its constituents.
• Knowledge about different types of Railway corridor (Mixed Traffic, Passenger only, Freight only, Metro etc.), rails, sleepers and other track components.
• Knowledge about different types of railway gauges.
