Job summary

Deutsche Bahn’s DB Engineering & Consulting is seeking a BIM Coordinator with 12+ years’ experience to lead multi-discipline models, ensure BEP compliance, and drive clash detection and integration across rail infrastructure projects.

You will report to the BIM Manager, organize coordination meetings, and coordinate model geo-location, 3D drawings, and information delivery per EIR/BEP.

Qualifications

• 10–13 years total experience in civil/rail BIM projects.
• At least 4–5 years in Railway Infrastructure BIM.
• Experience with 3D modeling of rail systems, bridges, stations.
• Knowledge of ISO 19650 principles and workflows.
• Willingness to learn new software and technologies.
• Self-organization and ability to work under pressure.
• Experience in bidding BIM projects and estimating manhours and resources.

Responsibilities

• Report to the BIM Manager.

• Configure, develop, and run Clash Detection analyses.
• Lead coordination meetings and track progression of coordination.
• Coordinate model geo-location per segment and aggregate models.
• Check drawings produced are according to CAD Manual and extracted from models.
• Support Interface Coordinators and Design Coordinators.
• Attend Gate Reviews with Design Leaders and Client representatives.
• Identify risks within BIM perimeter and escalate as needed.
• Assist with CDE information containers and workflows.
• Ensure BEP and project BIM standards compliance.
• Agree on Level of Definition for project phases and implement in the Project Information Model.
• Produce/Submit 3D models, quantity extraction, and 4D/5D information per BEP.
• Assist section leaders for technical interface management.
• Work across multiple projects as assigned by Line Manager.
• Support the Task Team in coordinating information models and ensuring information requirements.

For this project we are seeking a BIM Coordinator with 12+ years' experience.

Responsibilities:

• Report to the BIM Manager
• Assemble and maintains any multidiscipline models.
• Consulted for input to the BEP
• Define the CAD Manual at the start of the project
• Configure, develop, and run Clash Detection analysis on a regular basis (generation of aggregate models)
• Lead regular coordination meetings and track progress of the coordination process
• Responsible for the integration and the geo-location of the models per segment. Aggregate the models.
• Responsible for checking drawings are produced following project’s CAD Manual and are extracted from models
• Support Interface Coordinators and Design Coordinators
• Attend the Gate Reviews with the Design Leaders and the Client representatives
• Perform risk Identification and escalation within BIM perimeter
• Assist in the utilisation of the CDE within the organisation. Managing information containers in accordance with agreed workflow.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards and BEP
• Involved in agreeing Level of Definition for project phases in relation to the Project Information Model and ensuring its implementation on the project. (LOG/LOI)
• Responsible for the production/Submission, including 3D models, Quantity Extraction from Models, and 4D and 5D information models, in accordance with the BEP.
• Assist section leaders for the technical interface management.
• Work across multiple projects, as assigned by the Line Manager.
• Supports the Task Team by managing information models, ensuring coordination, and verifying compliance with information requirements (EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP).

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Civil Engineering (preferred)
• Overall experience of 10–13 years, with minimum 4–5 years mandatory in Railway Infrastructure BIM projects.
• Exposure may include 3D modeling of rail systems, rail and roadway bridges, station buildings, viaducts, and underpass structures.
• Experience in extracting quantities from 3D models, attributing model data, and producing 2D drawings from 3D models.
• Should have the knowledge of ISO 19650 principles and workflows.
• Open for new challenges and establishing structures. Willingness to learn and adopt new software and technologies.
• Self-organization, high level of motivation and ability to work under pressure
• Experience in the Bidding BIM projects including estimation of work in term of manhours and resources to any stage of project
