Job summary

Deutsche Bahn is seeking a Signalling Design Engineer with 6+ years of railway signalling experience for its global projects. You will design signalling schemes, contribute to tender proposals, and ensure compliance with international standards while coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Relocation and immigration support are available, along with a global onboarding program to integrate quickly into international teams and projects.

Qualifications

• Proficient in AutoCAD, Visio, and MicroStation latest version for railway signalling design tools.
• Minimum 6 years of experience in railways signalling design.
• Strong knowledge of Signalling System interfaces CBTC, ETCS, TCAS and related standards.
• Self-Initiator, leadership and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tender submissions under tight design deadlines.
• A valid IRSE Design License would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support in preparation of project documentation like Feasibility Study, Concept Design, Design Brief, Technical Note, related to Signalling & Train Control systems.
• Prepare technical and commercial proposals for signalling tenders. Perform cost estimation, BoQ preparation, and risk analysis for large-scale railway projects.
• Design and development of signalling systems for CBTC, ETCS & TCAS at High levels, ensuring compliance with international standards and safety protocols.
• Support within the team on Signalling-related Design Work & Documentation, and ICD for implementation in between systems.
• Prepare supporting project documentation as required by the team/Project Leader.
• Participate in Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Monthly meetings as/when required as per Project Requirement.
• Preparation of S&T/C documents like Signalling Plan, Control Table, Cable Plan, OMPD, BoQ, Headway Simulation, etc.

For the project, we are seeking a Signalling Design Engineer with at least 6+ years of experience.

Responsibilities:

• Undergo Self-Learning Activities and Transfer of Knowledge to Team.
• Provide functional support to multiple teams within the Design Engineering Centre.
• Support to the Bidding team by preparing technical proposals, methodologies, manpower forecasts, etc.

Qualifications
