Job summary

Deutsche Bahn’s global engineering and consulting arm is seeking a BIM Engineer with 5+ years experience in Civil Infrastructure BIM projects. You will assemble multi-discipline models, generate 2D drawings and extract schedules, coordinate with design leads, and ensure BEP and information requirements are met across projects in our international teams.

Graduate in Civil Engineering with at least 3 years in railway BIM projects is preferred; willingness to learn new software and work under

Qualifications

• Graduate in Civil Engineering (preferred).
• Overall experience of 5+ years, with minimum 3 years in Railway Infrastructure BIM projects.
• Exposure to 3D modeling of rail systems, bridges, stations, viaducts and underpass structures.

Responsibilities

• Report to the BIM Coordinator.
• Assemble and maintain multidiscipline models.
• Consult input to BEP.
• Attend coordination meetings and ensure progress of coordination process.
• Generate 2D drawings and extract schedules and quantities from design models and ensure CAD Manual compliance.
• Support Interface Coordinators and Design Coordinators.
• Attend Gate Reviews with Design Leaders and Client representatives.
• Perform risk identification and escalation within BIM perimeter.
• Manage information containers in accordance with BEP and CDE usage.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards and BEP.
• Produce 3D models, quantity extraction, and 4D/5D information models as per BEP.
• Assist section leaders for technical interface management.
• Work across multiple projects as assigned by Line Manager.
• Support the Task Team by managing information models and verifying information requirements (EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP).

For this project we are seeking a BIM Engineer with 5+ years experience.

Responsibilities:

• Report to the BIM Coordinator
• Assemble and maintains any multidiscipline models.
• Consulted for input to the BEP
• Attend regular coordination meetings and ensure progress of the coordination process
• Generate 2D drawings and extract schedules and quantity take-offs from design models, ensure project’s CAD Manual is followed.
• Support Interface Coordinators and Design Coordinators
• Attend the Gate Reviews with the Design Leaders and the Client representatives
• Perform risk Identification and escalation within BIM perimeter
• Assist in the utilisation of the CDE within the organisation. Managing information con‑tainers in accordance with agreed workflow.
• Ensure compliance with project BIM standards and BEP
• Responsible for the production/Submission, including 3D models, Quantity Extraction from Models, and 4D and 5D information models, in accordance with the BEP.
• Assist section leaders for the technical interface management.
• Work across multiple projects, as assigned by the Line Manager.
• Supports the Task Team by managing information models, ensuring coordination, and verifying compliance with information requirements (EIR, BEP, MIDP, TIDP).

Qualifications:

• Graduate in Civil Engineering (preferred)
• Overall experience of 5+ years, with minimum 3 years mandatory in Railway Infrastructure BIM projects.
• Exposure may include 3D modeling of rail systems, rail and roadway bridges, station buildings, viaducts, and underpass structures.
• Experience in extracting quantities from 3D models, attributing model data, and producing 2D drawings from 3D models will be preferred.
• Open for new challenges and establishing structures. Willingness to learn and adopt new soft-ware and technologies.
• Self-organization, high level of motivation and ability to work under pressure
