Job summary

Hinduja Tech Limited in Pune seeks an experienced engineer to design and develop interior components and modules that meet performance, cost, and manufacturing goals.

You will create 3D models and 2D drawings using CATIA V5, ensure DFMA principles, define joinery and assembly sequences, and manage packaging/material requirements. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BE/B.Tech in engineering with 3-6 years of experience.
• Diploma holder with 5-7 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop interior components/modules that meet performance, cost and manufacturing goals.
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings using CAD software (CATIA V5).
• Design for Assembly, Servicing and Manufacturing; define joinery and assembly sequence.
• Knowledge of packaging requirements, part-to-part interfaces and materials.
• Apply GD&T (tolerances and reference point system) and data management practices.
• Communicate effectively, solve problems, and coordinate with teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Responsible for designing and developing Interior components that meet performance, cost and manufacturing goals.
• Design and development of Interior Components / Modules e.g. Instrument Panel / Floor Console / Door Trim / Interior Trim Hard and Soft Trim Components etc.
• 3D modeling and 2D drawing creation using CAD software (Catia V5)
• Design for Assembly / Design for Servicing / Design for Manufacturing
• Joinery definitions and assembly sequence.
• Knowledge of Requirements for Packaging, Part to part Interface, Materials etc.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Tolerances & Reference Point System)
• Data Management
• Ability to understand Gap & Step Requirement, Color & Texture Requirement
• Communication skills, Problem Solving, Accountability, Team Coordination, Creative Thinking
