Fordham University is seeking an in-person tutor to support elementary students in Math and ELA during the school day in NYC. You will tailor instruction to each student’s needs and monitor progress to meet grade-level standards.

The ideal candidate is a current Fordham student with prior tutoring experience and strong communication. Position requires a minimum of 6 hours weekly and starts ASAP with End Date 06/04/2027.

Reporting to Community School Director, tutors will inspire and empower students. In this in-person role, you will deliver personalized, engaging instruction tailored to each student’s unique learning style and academic needs. Essential Functions

• Works with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and varying educational needs.
• Provides tutoring to Elementary School children (Monday-Friday 8AM-to 2PM) in the subjects of Math and ELA in preparation for the NY State exams during the school day.
• Monitors student progress regularly, offering constructive feedback and adjusting strategies as needed.
• Meets with the community School Director and ELT coordinator regularly.
• Excellent communication skills to engage students of all ages and backgrounds.
• Must be able to work a minimum of 6 hours per week.

• The cost will be $107.50 – which will be reimbursed with proof of payment.
