Job summary

Fordham University’s College at 60 is seeking a Part‑Time Program Director to lead the development, day‑to‑day management, and strategic oversight of the College at 60 program. You will shape and execute the vision, oversee program development, enrollment growth, and community engagement.

You will supervise a Program Assistant, strengthen visibility, build partnerships, and foster a dynamic learning community for older adults both within the university and in the external community.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience with social media and basic digital communication tools.
  • Strong office and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in adult learning, lifelong learning, and programming for senior citizens.

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for College at 60, including setting annual goals, identifying opportunities for program growth, and aligning initiatives with Fordham University’s mission and institutional priorities.
  • Lead the expansion and continuous improvement of online offerings, ensuring instructional quality, accessibility, and consistency with the program’s established standards of excellence.
  • Oversee all faculty‑related matters, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, evaluation, and ongoing development; foster a culture of teaching excellence and innovation that enhances the student experience.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support the Program Assistant; direct day‑to‑day operations, including program logistics and participant services.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and recruitment strategy in partnership with university stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver student enrichment programming each term that promotes lifelong learning, intellectual engagement, and social connection among participants.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for College at 60, strengthening relationships with internal and external partners and ensuring alignment with Fordham’s Jesuit values and commitment to cura personalis.
  • Advise and support the College at 60 student council, fostering student engagement and collaboration for program outcomes.

College at 60 is an educational initiative of Fordham University’s School of Professional and Continuing Studies. The School invites applications for a Part‑Time Program Director to lead the development, day‑to‑day management, and strategic oversight of the College at 60 program.
