About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused Travel Consultant to join our growing travel team. The candidate will be responsible for understanding customer travel requirements, designing suitable itineraries, preparing quotations, coordinating with hotels, airlines and destination management companies (DMCs), and converting enquiries into confirmed bookings.
The ideal candidate should have good communication skills, attention to detail, a passion for travel and the ability to provide excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle customer enquiries through phone, WhatsApp, email and other channels.
- Understand customer requirements, budget, preferences and travel expectations.
- Prepare customized domestic and international tour itineraries.
- Prepare and send professional quotations to customers.
- Coordinate hotel bookings, flight tickets, transfers, sightseeing and activities.
- Liaise with hotels, DMCs, transporters and other travel suppliers for rates and availability.
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive rates and value-added services.
- Follow up with customers on quotations and convert enquiries into confirmed bookings.
- Maintain accurate records of enquiries, quotations, bookings and customer information in the CRM.
- Coordinate pre-travel arrangements and ensure smooth execution of confirmed tours.
- Assist customers with travel documentation, visa requirements and other travel-related information.
- Coordinate with operations teams and suppliers during the travel period when required.
- Handle customer queries, changes, cancellations and complaints professionally.
- Maintain good relationships with existing customers and encourage repeat business and referrals.
- Support corporate, group, educational and MICE travel requirements.
- Stay updated on destinations, hotels, airline schedules, visa requirements and travel products.
- Achieve assigned sales and conversion targets.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Travel & Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field is preferred.
- Candidates with relevant travel industry experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 03 years of experience in travel consultancy, tour operations, ticketing, hotel reservations, hospitality or customer service.
- Freshers with a strong interest in the travel industry may also be considered.
