Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Transport Planner to shape mobility solutions for major developments and cities. The role spans planning, assessment and delivery across international markets, collaborating with urban planners and engineers to create sustainable, future-ready mobility strategies and public transport plans.

The candidate will contribute to master plans, traffic impact assessments and multi-modal studies, delivering high-quality reports and presentations while communicating effectively

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with Master's in transport planning/transportation engineering.
• 4+ years' experience in Transport Planning.
• Experience delivering transport planning/modelling for UK/ME/USA/Canada/Australia.
• Experience in Master Planning, Urban Mobility, Public Transport, Traffic Impact Assessment, and Multi-modal studies.
• Strong analytical skills with complex datasets.
• Experience scripting with Python, Excel-VBA and R.
• Strong ArcGIS/QGIS, PowerBI and MS Office skills.
• Proven ability to prepare high-quality technical reports and presentations.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Ability to work in a team on wider projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan, assess and deliver integrated transport and mobility solutions for large-scale developments, cities and strategic initiatives.
• Collaborate with urban planners, engineers and multidisciplinary teams on master planning and mobility projects.
• Support development of mobility strategy, public transport planning and multi-modal integration.
• Produce technical reports and presentations with clear recommendations.

Your role

• You will play a key role in the planning, assessment, and delivery of integrated transport and mobility solutions for large-scale developments, cities, and strategic planning initiatives across the Middle East and global markets. This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including master planning, mobility strategy development, public transport planning, transport policy formulation, traffic impact assessments, and multi-modal integration. Working collaboratively with urban planners, infrastructure engineers, and multidisciplinary teams, you will help develop innovative, sustainable, and future-ready mobility solutions that enhance connectivity and support economic growth.

About you

Essential Requirements

• Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Bachelor's Degree with Master's degree in transport planning/transportation engineering)
• Working experience (4+ years) in Transport Planning.
• Knowledge and experience in delivering transport planning/modelling projects for UK/ME/ USA/ Canada/ Australia regions
• Demonstrable Experience in one or more of the following:
  • Master Planning/Comprehensive Mobility Plans
  • Urban Mobility Strategy Development
  • Public Transport Planning
  • Traffic Impact Assessment
  • Multi-modal Integration Studies/Mobility Policy Development
• Strong Analytical skills with experience in handling and interpreting complex datasets
• Experience in scripting using like Python, Excel-VBA and R.
• Strong understanding of ArcGIS/QGIS, PowerBI and Microsoft Office applications
• Proficiency in preparing high quality technical reports and presentations
• Strong Verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a team as part of a wider project.
