Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in India is seeking a Principal Transport Planner (Strategic Modelling) based in Bangalore/Gurgaon. You will drive transport modelling projects using VISUM/SATURN/EMME/DIADEM with strong scripting in Python, Excel-VBA or R and GIS tools.

The role requires 13+ years' experience and leadership within multidisciplinary teams. Qualifications include a Bachelor's plus a Master's in transport planning or economics, and the ability to work across UK/MEA/USA/Canada/Australia regions.

Qualifications

• 13+ years of Transport Planning experience with modelling focus.
• Experience in strategic modelling techniques and guidance.
• Experience delivering projects for UK/ME/USA/Canada/Australia regions.
• Strong analytical skills with datasets interpretation.
• Experience scripting in Python, Excel-VBA or R.
• Proficiency in ArcGIS/QGIS and PowerBI.
• Ability to lead small teams and delegate tasks.
• Excellent written communication.

Your role

We are looking for a Principal Transport Planner (Strategic Modelling) to join our team. This role will be based at our AtkinsRéalis office in Bangalore/Gurgaon, India. Appropriate academic and professional qualifications (Bachelor's Degree with Master's degree in transport planning / economics). Working experience (13+ years) in Transport Planning software like VISUM, SATURN, DIADEM, EMME. Experience and knowledge of Strategic Modelling techniques and guidance. Knowledge and experience in delivering transport planning/modelling projects for UK/ME/ USA/ Canada/ Australia regions. Strong Analytical skills with experience in handling and interpreting complex datasets. Experience in scripting using like Python, Excel-VBA and R. Strong understanding of ArcGIS/QGIS, PowerBI and Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work in a team as part of a wider project with no supervision. Experience in leading smaller teams as part of a project delivery. Good written communication skills. Be able to delegate the tasks.
