Job summary

Trafo Power & Electricals Pvt. Ltd. in Agra invites an experienced Production Supervisor to plan and supervise the daily manufacturing of 50 MVA, 132 kV class transformers and 25 MVA IDT units, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to IEC/IS tests.

The role requires coordinating design, quality, stores and testing teams, applying 5S practices, and driving root-cause analysis for any non-conformities, with a minimum of 5 years in transformer production. B.E./B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Eng.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in transformer production.
• Experience with 132 kV class power transformers.
• Experience with solar inverter duty transformers (IDT).

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily production of 50 MVA, 132 kV class power transformers and 25 MVA IDT transformers.
• Supervise core building, coil winding, insulation, active part assembly, drying, tanking and final assembly.
• Coordinate with design, quality, stores and testing teams to ensure materials and test slots are ready on time.
• Ensure units pass in-process checks and routine tests per IEC/IS standards and customer requirements.
• Investigate non-conformities and drive corrective actions.
• Enforce safety, housekeeping and 5S practices on the shop floor.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and execute daily production of 50 MVA, 132 kV class power transformers and 25 MVA solar inverter duty transformers (IDT) against the delivery schedule.
• Supervise core building, coil winding, insulation, active part assembly, drying, tanking and final assembly.
• Track manpower, machine use and material consumption, and cut rework, scrap and idle time.
• Read and apply design drawings, bills of material and customer specifications on the shop floor, including the special design needs of IDTs such as multi-winding construction and high harmonic loading.
• Coordinate with the design, quality, stores and testing teams so materials, drawings and test slots are ready on time.
• Ensure every unit passes in-process checks and routine, type and special tests as per IEC / IS standards and customer requirements.
• Investigate non-conformities and test failures, find root causes and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Enforce safety, housekeeping and 5S practices, particularly around lifting, oven drying, oil filling and high-voltage testing.

Education

• B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

• Minimum 5 years in transformer production.
• Proven experience manufacturing 132 kV class power transformers.
• Experience with solar inverter duty transformers (IDT).
