The Transformer Design Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing electrical transformers used in power distribution systems. Responsibilities

Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and engineer transformer components, including windings, cores, insulation, and cooling systems, using software tools like CAD and simulation programs.Perform calculations for electrical parameters such as voltage, current, impedance, losses, and efficiency to meet specifications.Conduct feasibility studies, prototyping, and testing (e.g., thermal, electrical, and mechanical) to validate designs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams in the Electrical Department, including R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to troubleshoot issues and improve designs.Ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., IEEE, IEC) and regulatory requirements for safety and environmental impact.Analyze material selection and cost optimization for transformer production.Prepare technical documentation, reports, and drawings for patents, certifications, or production handoffs.Participate in root cause analysis for transformer failures and implement design improvements.
