Job summary

Liebherr CMCtec India Private Limited in Pune is seeking a Trainee - Strategic Sourcing & Operative Purchase. The role supports buyers, maintains records, and coordinates with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries for projects.

The position is entry-level and requires a BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering, plus MS Office familiarity. Knowledge of BAAN software and ISO standards is a plus. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial) or similar.

Responsibilities

• Maintain purchasing records and pricing information updated in the system.
• Prepare reports and track sales demand fluctuation and inventory value.
• Help buyer with day-to-day purchasing tasks.
• Coordinate with user departments and suppliers in the purchasing scope of work for projects assigned.
• Handle and monitor claims to factories and vendors for defectives, shortage, missing parts.
• Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of project/product.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery.
• Prepare and process purchasing orders and documents per company policies.

Role and Responsibilities

• Monitor and co-ordinate deliveries of items by suppliers to ensure that all items are delivered to site/store on time.
• Plan and manage inventory levels of materials or products.

Qualification and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or similar).

Experience

Candidate must complete BE/B.Tech or Graduation in equivalent or similar stream – Mechanical/electrical.

Preferred Skills / Special Skills

• Must have knowledge about manufacturing operations.
• Must have knowledge about MS office (Excel, Word, Power point etc.)
• Knowledge about BAAN software will be preferred.
• Awareness of ISO and Industrial Norms.
