Qualifications

• Graduate in any discipline; logistics qualification is a plus.
• 38 years of experience in Transportation, Logistics, Traffic Operations, or Fleet Coordination.
• Strong knowledge of market freight rates, local vehicle sourcing, and broker management.
• Hands-on experience in ODC & FTL transportation operations.
• Good understanding of trailers, heavy commercial vehicles, route planning, and transportation documentation.
• Excellent negotiation, coordination, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/Transport Management Systems.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and place local market vehicles based on customer requirements.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates with brokers and transport vendors.
• Maintain a strong network of transport brokers, fleet owners, and vehicle suppliers.
• Source vehicles from the local market to meet urgent operational requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, operations teams, drivers, brokers, and vendors for timely vehicle placement.
• Monitor vehicle movement and ensure on-time loading, dispatch, transit, and delivery.
• Handle transportation planning for ODC and FTL shipments.
• Ensure timely completion of loading and unloading activities by coordinating with site teams.
• Verify transportation documents, including permits, e-way bills, invoices, PODs, gate passes, and other statutory documents.
• Maintain daily records of vehicle placement, freight rates, broker payments, and operational updates.
• Resolve transportation issues, delays, and vehicle shortages to ensure uninterrupted operations.
• Keep track of market freight trends and provide updates on transportation rates.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in coordinating vehicle availability, negotiating market rates, and ensuring smooth transportation operations. Location: Surat, Gujarat, India.

Responsibilities

• Arrange and place local market vehicles (trailers, cranes, tippers, trucks, hydraulic axles, etc.) based on customer requirements.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates with brokers and transport vendors.
• Maintain a strong network of transport brokers, fleet owners, and vehicle suppliers.
• Source vehicles from the local market to meet urgent operational requirements.
• Coordinate with customers, operations teams, drivers, brokers, and vendors for timely vehicle placement.
• Monitor vehicle movement and ensure on-time loading, dispatch, transit, and delivery.
• Handle transportation planning for ODC (Over Dimensional Cargo) and FTL (Full Truck Load) shipments.
